ñaños, A research based youth project
in ecuador.
The Ñaños—a Quechua word that can be translated as brothers and sisters— is conformed by a group of young people between the ages of 12-18 from the villages of Bellamaria, Guara, Chaquizca and Luranda, as well as from the city of Cariamanga, all located in Loja Province, Ecuador.
This project engaged rural and urban youth from the province of Loja Ecuador, in research and evaluation using participatory methods such as sketching and video. The group was also engaged in the process of analyzing the data collected throughout the evaluation phase. The group elaborated a child-friendly report, and engaged in storyboarding and video editing.
